Interactive Design Detail Project Information
Du Bist Deutschland
We were approached by JvM/next to do the initial art direction of the interactive part for the successor to the huge Du Bist Deutschland campaign. It focuses on a child friendly Germany, so the concept was that children should draw images of their wishes for a better future and that some parts of the website should also be fully created by children. We imagined an interactive German map for the drawings that was totally redrawn by kids in different detail levels as they imagined it. In addition to the special we did the direction and design for all other parts of the site including the fully accessible HTML fallback. Enjoy it here.
The final map of Germany totally illustrated by children.
Our design direction for the interactive map.
A layout mood for one of the zoom modes of the map.
A fullscreen illustration with an audio comment spoken by the child that drew it.
A mash-up to report and find child friendly places in Germany.
An application of our flexible grid for the campaign site.
Another one of our layouts to show our flexible grid.
The first row shows a text page and a layout with different comment features. The second row shows a media player and list layouts. And finally the third row shows the HTML fallback version of the interactive world, where every image could also be viewed with Flash.
